About The Showfit Course

Showfit course commences with a week-long assessment program where personal goals and course plan is drawn up for each student.

Mentoring program set up where each student is assigned a professional Industry mentor to assist them through the year’s course.

Weekly/fortnightly mock audition classes developing an understanding of a broad range of musical styles and nurturing audition techniques.

Dance class which includes Broadway Jazz, Classical Ballet, Tap, Hip Hop and Partner work.

Daily acting class which will include acting technique, improvisation, scene work, mask work, voice and speech, audition and performance technique.

Daily vocals which includes group work in singing technique, harmony work, basic musicianship, musical theatre styles (weekly private singing lesson will be compulsory which is outside of course fees).

Regular personal development sessions where performers are taken outside of their comfort zone in order to break old performance patterns.

Showfit showcase performances at the completion of Term 2 (informal showcase in Centrestage studios) and final Showcase in Term 4 at the Malthouse Theatre.
